Leading asbestos law firm’s donation supports a three-day exchange of ideas in the field of mesothelioma and fellowship for those affected by the disease.
DALLAS –– Waters Kraus & Paul announces a $17,000 sponsorship supporting the 2019 International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma. The symposium is one of the foremost events exploring this rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure. The symposium, organized and presented by the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, takes place on March 25-27, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Maryland.
“We applaud the work of the Mesothelioma Foundation to end mesothelioma,” said Peter Kraus, co-founding partner of Waters Kraus & Paul. “My firm frequently sees the devastation that our clients and their families endure because of this asbestos cancer. It is our privilege to help make the mesothelioma symposium possible and support the foundation’s mission.”
This year’s symposium will focus on survivorship issues, emphasizing patient care, and treatment options. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to learn about the latest in medical care from leading experts in the field of mesothelioma. Attendees will also get a chance to ask questions, meet other patients and families, and find inspiration and emotional support from those in the mesothelioma community.
According to the Mesothelioma Foundation website, the “International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma is a unique event that brings together the entire mesothelioma community. For the duration of the three-day conference, we invite patients, their families, caregivers, and the bereaved community, to learn about the latest in treatment options, speak face-to-face with top mesothelioma experts, and socialize with others walking in their shoes.”
The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation is the nonprofit collaboration of patients and families, physicians, advocates, and researchers dedicated to eradicating the life-ending and vicious effects of mesothelioma.
