Court holds Garlock accountable for reckless disregard of Americans’ health and safety in decades-long asbestos cover-up
Last week, a Kentucky appellate court upheld an award of punitive damages against Garlock Sealing Technologies, finding that the manufacturer’s conduct showed a “reckless disregard for the health and safety” of workers exposed to asbestos through its products. This decision, along with the subsequent articles, contradicts Garlock’s fictitious narrative that it was unaware of the dangers of its products and instead reveals that Garlock knowingly poisoned Americans for decades, resulting in the award for punitive damages.
